WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE COURSE?

You can expect to be taught the very best of this ancient wisdom in a contemporary, fun and interactive way. In this course, you’ll have an opportunity to:

  1. Gain a very good understanding and experience of the 8 Limbs of Yoga and how to apply them throughout all your teaching and life
    Learn the essential principles as well as the subtler aspects of the practice and teaching of yoga postures (asana)
  2. Become part of a strong and supportive learning community
  3. Learn to practice and teach a range of effective yogic practices including pranayama, mudra, bandha, and meditation (available as an option in the 350+ hour course).

IS THIS COURSE SUITABLE FOR ME?

A high level of fitness, flexibility or proficiency in yoga postures is NOT a requirement for entrance to the program. If you currently have a yoga practice and have good mental and physical health, you can apply. Even without a strong background in yoga or if you have suffered from health difficulties. You can start with the Foundation Module and get the support to develop your experience and practice and later apply to do other modules.

WHO WILL I BE ABLE TO TEACH?

At the completion of the 200+ hour course, you will be able to teach a range of yoga classes, from beginner through to intermediate level. Completing the 350+ hour course will enable you to teach a wider variety of classes and people and to address any special needs. If you’re doing the meditation modules, you will be able to teach a range of meditation techniques in an individual and group environment. Many of the other advanced modules will enable you to help people in a wide variety of yoga coaching contexts.

WHAT CERTIFICATION WILL I GET?

YA_logo_finals_allOur Teacher Training is fully registered with Yoga Australia. Upon successful completion of your course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion in Yoga Teacher Training. You will be eligible for Yoga Teacher membership with Yoga Australia, the premier Australian yoga teacher association. This membership brings many benefits including specialist insurance for yoga teachers.

Graduates of the Yoga Teacher Training course will be eligible for membership with Yoga Australia. The 200+ hour course gives graduates eligibility to become a Provisional Member for a period of up to 3 years in which time the 350+ hour course would have to be completed in order to continue as a registered teacher. The 350+ hour course gives graduates eligibility to become a full (Level 1) Member with Yoga Australia.
