I have probably learned the most in my yoga journey by developing the discipline of a consistent home practice. I also love the idea that Yoga is really take away.
With a mat in your bag or over your shoulder, you can go anywhere in the world. As long as you can find a mat-sized space, you can stretch out travel-tired muscles, meditate or practice Pranayama. It helps you sleep soundly, do rounds of Surya Namaskar in the morning to salute the sun, or practice a Yoga Nidra during the heat of the day.
I was introduced to Hatha yoga in my twenties then explored Iyengar and later Ashtanga yoga, following an inspiring visit to founder Pattabhi Jois in Mysore. During this time I also studied Vipassana and Buddhist meditation.
I completed 350hr Hatha Yoga Teacher Training with Kate Pell at Bowral Yoga Studio in 2013 and taught there from that time. My learning journey has continued; taking instruction in Yin Yoga, with Donna Farhi, and Simon Borg Olivier. I look forward to passing on what I have learned, to you.
